Bouldering (or ‘weaseling’) is a hugely fun activity that is basically a really accessible form of climbing or scrambling without the need for ropes or harnesses.
At Carlton Lodge this is a high-energy, off-site activity that allows participants to push themselves physically and mentally and to explore the stunning surroundings of our bouldering site in the Yorkshire Dales.
Bouldering groups are required to work together, with a strong focus on planning, communication and creative thinking.
Sessions can be tailored to cover elements of the National Curriculum for Geography, Science and PSHE at key stages 2-4.
All activity risk assessments can be found under the resources section of our website.
