David Sharp, chief executive shares his thoughts and thanks in Volunteer Month in June 2026 for all the hard work and contributions that our volunteers make at Carlton Lodge.

Good morning!

My son got back yesterday from his residential with his school, and he’s had the best time!

I was so worried about him as he has autism & adhd but I think he took a shine to some of the guides, and it sounds like you all really made his stay enjoyable! He also said the pizza was one of the best he’s ever had! So I just wanted to say a huge thank you to the team at Carlton Lodge!

Paul and I would just like to say how grateful we are for the activity weekend that you put on for us recently.

Bex, Scott and George were absolutely superb hosts from the moment we arrived throughout the activities until we left the following day.

With yourself and your colleagues supporting us internally you made it a very enjoyable weekend for our very boisterous rugby team.

The accommodation and facilities were exactly what we needed and we would highly recommend this to anyone thinking of making a booking.
